hi guys , i just purchased an item from overseas and just saw the seller does not accept paypal from international bidders , says he accepts money orders , can u pl give me some advice it states he accepts money orders

it also states that mon orders must be recieved within 10 days so i guess express post is the way 2 go

from what i know, international money orders cost $8.50. you definetly have to send express post to get there within ten days, i would recommend registered post also....

Definately what Ozballer23 had said.... send the money order in an International Registered Post Envelope which cost about $10.50 and the inter. money order cost $8.65.

I remember a while back I had purchased an item from a US buyer named shoelessjackson (i think that's how you spell it), well his policy is that he only accept paypal from confirmed addresses (no exceptions). Well I thought being Verfied here in Australia meant the same thing but IT AIN'T!! :( He refunded my paypal payment and made me pay via money order. Unfortunately here in Australia we can't get our address verified as to what the US has!! I have had to do alot of sweet talking to many US buys to allow me to use paypal!!

I hope you didn't buy a BGS 9.5 or something as that guy is a well known trimmer and scummbag

I've sent money orders regular post and never had a problem. You can cancel them should it get lost and its only good to to bearer of the name on it anyway.

 He is known for that... THAT AIN'T RIGHT  THANKS FOR THE WARNING CHAD... much appreciated!

Lucky I only bought a Chris Paul SP Game Used Spectrum 03/10 Rookie (ungraded). Was looking to buy a few Wades off him but a lot of his prices are too HIGH for my liking!!!

We can actually have verified addresses, but not confirmed....

Most of the time, if you explain to the seller that being Australian/NZ we have Verified Addresses which is the equivilent as the US' being CoOnfirmed, they will accept the transaction.

thanx heaps 4 your help people i have contacted the seller and offered him an extra 5 u.s if he will accept paypal if not iwill take the advice givin 2 me here and send an registered express int money order, thanx again all i'm kinda crappin myself atm this being my 1st overseas item bought

you will have to send it as $10US money order (not $10au as thats like $7US), the post office will be able to do that for you i would think

Nearly 100% of my buys have been from US ebay, never had an issue. No need to stress. Looking forward to your mailday!

Bas - The other way you may want to go is to buy US dollars from a bank (fees are slightly cheaper than Post Office). What I have done, is then pack the money in a top-loader and then sent the toploader via airmail. If it's only a small outlay (up to $20US), I have generally sent via airmail, but anything higher, I have gone via International Registered (for extra piece of mind). It ends up being slightly quicker.

thanx 4 the advice c but set in my ways right now so will stick with the int money order reg and express
