Have always wanted to complete a 90's parallel set before. Might as well make a start. Gonna be a very very long journey and most likely will never complete the set but it sure will be fun to try.
To start things off:
97-98 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems (#/10 and #/100)
97-98 Metal Universe Championship Precious Metal Gems (#/50)
98-99 Metal Universe Precious Metal Gems (#/50 and #/1)
What other nice parallel sets did the 90's produce?
Yep. Will probably be chasing which ever set I decide for the rest of my life and most likely won't complete it. But it will be fun and an awesome accomplishment even if it is partially completed.
Print runs isn't a concern of mine. Seeing as this will be a life long journey I am more focused on design.
Any other nice parallels from the 90's that people know of? There were so many different manufacturers and product lines back in the 90's and i'm not sure what was released as parallels so looking for help identifying them before I make my decision which to chase.

i'm a big fan of your chase as of now... haha... interesting ones to chase would be tsc one of a kind parallel, or the insert atomic refractors from various topps issues... and then there's the e-x essential credentials... and then theres the rave and super rave parallels for z-force... and then theres the legacy collections... the 90s were such a better era for design... i think it had something to do with panini not being involved... haha...
There's a couple of issues I have with this set though, they're notorious for greening as you can see in both of these, which aren't the worst I've seen. So a very condition sensitive set. The other issue is all of the no name players. The checklist is 220 I think, but you'd really only want 30-40 of the players.

totally, bought a few boxes about 6-7 yrs ago and most cards were well and truly greened.
makes the chase that much harder trying to find quality items. there was a well priced webber on BO the other day.
