Hi guys,
Just after some advice. I recently sold some star wars tazos and folder on ebay for over 200 dollars. I was going on holidays the day after it sold I decided to send it as I didnt want to make the buyer wait. It has been more than a week and I havent received a payment. He contacted me 3 days after and said he was having trouble with paypal. I gave him bank details for him to send me the money and I havent heard from him since. I have sent 4 messages with no reply. I know I shouldnt of sent the item without payment but I have never had trouble on ebay ever. Any ideas suggestions?
I really dont think there's anything you can do in this situation.
Obviously you were trying to do the best thing by him, but you really shouldnt have sent it, and when you did send it, you shouldnt have told him that you did. It might have bought you a few days to wait for payment.
No offense mate, wasn't the smartest thing to do sending it before getting payment. You will have no leg to stand on now if they say they haven't received the item, even if you have tracking, you have no way of disputing it.
Consider it a hard lesson mate, but the buyer may not be paying this one!
Always send after you have received payment. Then for items above 50$ make them pay for tracking.
Aus Post guarantees items under $50 and you can claim as long as you have the receipt and lodged it at a post office.
Appreciate your help boys 2nd time been done this year. First time I sent a Greg Florimo card the bloke reckons he never received it and I refunded his money. I was in a rush when I sent it and never got a tracking number. It is funny cause I sent 3 other cards out the same day and they all arrived safely. There are some lowlifes out there.
