As for the refs, said it before, didn't notice anything at the game. That's the problem with TV, they show you 3 million angles whilst the ref is on the spot. If you want perfection, we'll have a three hour NFL-style game. If Manly got the rub of the green, so be it...but as I said I didn't see anything.
And I ain't defending refs. I'm a Souths supporter...

Forgot to add...don't remember Manly making any clangers.
The NZ player who dropped the ball in goal for Foran to almost to score. There's your difference.
Yep... Silly little mistake that Manly wouldn't be caught dead doing.
The difference was NZ was outplayed and Manly won. Manly had 8 or so players with Grand Final experience too, don't forget. NZ had 3, I recall, Inu, Mateo and Hohia. It showed. It's probably what saved Rose from being marched too...Jamie Lyon floating around as captain.
Bang on all you want to about the refs, but the sad, hurtful truth is Manly were just better on the day. It's all just what ifs now. If NZ can learn and grow from it, good on em. Just be thankful the Warriors were there at all. As I said earlier, any team who gets belted by 30 points in week one of the finals, IMO, should never ever be in a position to still make a Grand Final.

Cowboys got belted by 50 in week 1 of the finals 2005 and then went on to eliminate Melbourne and Parramatta in the next 2 weeks to make the Grand Final.

Wait so
A)) - One dropped ball by the Warriors made the difference, not 2 or 3 poor calls from the refs.
B) We should be lucky we're there at all, cos we lost by 30 to Brisbane 3 weeks earlier So they should change the competition rules to eliminate us cos we lost so bad. Even though 2 weeks later we shut down the Minor Prems at home.
C) NOW the difference was we were outplayed, not one dropped ball. And Manly's experience was the reason Rose wasn't sent off or binned, NOT cos refs don't have the cods to do it in a GF.
Yeah I think I got u pinned for what u really are.
...and what's that my friend? Come on...tell me. You're just twisting around like an autumnal lead.
As for being beaten in Rd 1 of finals...I don't think any team in the NRL should lose in finals time and continue on except the minor premiers. And while we're at it, I don't think there should be anything more than a Top 5 either.
Anyway...you believe what you want. I was sat with many Warriors fans on the day and I never heard a grumble, cry of anguish or whinge about the refs. The Warriors were simply outclassed on the day. Nothing more. No shame in that. If you're a Warriors fan, I feel your pain...but face facts: your team just wasn't good enough. Now that you've done that, look forward to what will be in the future. A core group of players with a Grand Final loss and 2 x U20's wins on the trot. If NZ Warriors can't finally start to become a consistent side in the NRL after almost 20 years in the comp, then I don't know what will.

Who's twisting?? You're the one who keeps rehashing what the 'difference' was.......
If Warriors fans at the game didn't see the issues with the refs I'd imagine that was a problem with watching it live like you had - check out the opinions on this thread.......it ain't just me.
All I asked was people's opinions - never held a gun to anyone's heads....virtually all said the refs missed some no-brainers
If Warriors fans start accepting what happened with the referees in the Tigers and GF games we'll never win.
I've already mentioned how bright our future is.....it's never been brighter.
The Warriors have made the finals 7 out of the last 11 years, made 2 grand finals in that time, and the last five years they've made the finals four times (only missing out the year Sonny Fai passed).
They've actually been one of the more consistent sides in the NRL the last ten years.
