Unbelieveably I didn't see the final cos I was at Ireland vs Italy at the RWC - Ma and Pa gave me $100 ticket for my birthday....
Honestly - Manly too good or the refereeing I heard about make the difference?
I've heard from a fan or 2 here that we''ll never be allowed to win a GF....
IMO any team that loses by 30 points in Week One of the finals should NEVER make the Grand Final.
However...that was not the case.
The right team won IMO.
I am not a Manly supporter, but they were top notch 1-13 and a decent reserves bench. Fit, skilled, error free, grinders, hard defence and flashy speed with solid backs amongst their squad. They were the 2nd best team H&A. The result was a good one.
NZ fought hard, and it is preposterous to say refs cost them a GF.
Manly were good... but the Warriors had to chase the game which maybe shouldn't have been the case...
Just stirring but George Rose doesn't epitomise fitness in my mind!IMO any team that loses by 30 points in Week One of the finals should NEVER make the Grand Final.

All the issues I mentioned in my post I noticed live on the first view - the relays only enforced my opinions. I don't think watching it on tv has much to do with it.
I don't know what an almost try by Manly has to do with anything. Warriors defence was rock solid all game under huge pressure, but they don't seem to be getting any kudos for that.
Anyway, if the correct decisions were made then there would have been two less tries to Manly, and that's my final word. Whether or not people think Manly deserved it or whatever, those calls did change the scoreline from a Warriors win to a Manly win.
