Hi all,
I might be 48 but all this is new to me. I need some advice. I volunteer at an Op Shop with all proceeds going to a Special Needs school. Last week a box was left with approx. 6,500 sports trading cards. They span the years 1989 to 1995 and include AFL, NRL, NBL, NFL, MLB, some Hockey and some Indi Car Racing (I hope I've got those right!). All are boxed and in reasonable order, with about half in plastic sleeves. What would be the best way to get a fair and reasonable price?
With Thanks in advance for any help,

Cheers D.

Welcome to the forum Dicey.
Something of that scale is tricky.
Start off by seeing if there are any complete sets (by year and make).
Secondly quality of the cards is always important, how do the corners look, edges have no chips and surface is not scratched.
Thirdly as the old saying goes, pictures speak a thousand words.
If you have a phone or a good camera take some snapshots for the experts to look at.
If there is anything of value the guys here will let you know.

Wow that's ALOT of cards to go through Dicey! I have a few boxes with literally thousands of old NBA cards I collected decades ago, if someone picked them up they wouldn't be worth that much as I had taken out all the inserts and kept them safe and left all the commons and duplicates. But hey you never know there might just be that ONE card that could be worth a mint. 48 or 98 mate cardboard doesn't discriminate ;)
