Grading?

Hey guys, Im just wondering what the deal is with grading companys. Im looking at a gem mint 10 lebron james ultra rookie card but I have never heard of the company who graded it. They are called gem grading company. Is there a difference between the companies? are some a bit dodgy? eg let things get through that other companys would mark down on? And how does the resell factor come into it? Like would a card graded by say becketts get a higher price than a psa or this gem company?

Its worth more out of the case with GEM grading.

Mate stick to BGS, PSA and SGC and you should be right....some of the others would grade a dog turd and call it a Jordan RC if you wanted them to!!!

My guess is, that Bron Ultra, ISNT the Bron Ultra RC...

Make sure it says on the front "Lucky 13". Else, it's most likely the ones that were sold along with a die-cast Hummer Model Car.

In other words, it's fake, well just not the correct RC.

As for GEM.... What Chad said....

I've seen cards graded by Gem that would be lucky to cross over to a PSA 5 or 6.

That would be graded GEM by GEM...

Yes yes and yes. Staring at that photo and i think i can see the corners are a little bit dodgey at the top. AND it is definitly the hummer card AND
I just saw the exact same photo on another auction site and when i asked the seller he said it was his card he photograhed himself and that it is definitly not on another site and no he wont put another photo up. So BID REMOVED. Cheers guys
