O.k, you see an item.

But they will only ship to US, what do you guys do? It is really frustrating to be labelled "dodgy" mearly because I am from oversea's and not in the US.

Why is it that US people think we are dodgy and their own countrymen arne't?

I find it increasingly harder and harder to get items anymore, and if it keeps on going at this rate, I will give up set chases.

Is it just me? Or do people get frustrated with this?

Sometimes, only SOMETIMES, they'll actually change their minds.

Tell em a bit like "being a trusted buyer, etc, and being a quick payer with paypal, etc, etc"

If they state clearly "NO OUTSIDE US" etc, then it's their problem.

If they still say no, then again, it's their problem.

BUT... you have to consider they may have had a few problems with overseas buyers doing chargebacks for stuff they get.

I've heard from a few sellers that they've had problems with overseas buyers, but Australia isnt the source of their problems, it's the other countries they're talking about.

Good luck with them, as I said, sometimes you'll find someone who'll allow you to bid/buy.

I don't know cause don't buy from overseas but it seems like a lot of people here have been ripped off by americans

Ive just had a quite nice experience buying of an American sellers, very pleasant and he was more than helpful... although i have been by numerous sellers told they dont send to Australia "because of Australian's bad attitudes":(. its pretty annoying, but thats the way it goes, i guess

Not the case mate. PayPal 9/10 has our arse covered with buying Internationally. You should try it, there's a MUCH WIDER market and choice for your cards!!

LOL, Australian's bad attitudes.... #-o

MavsMan© - Thanks for the input :-)

Yeah, I know what you mean, and it's not much I can do about it. MOts sellers are willing to work with me, when they see my feedback and the $$$ I pool into this hobby. BUt I had my first decline today and I found the reponse a bit rude from the seller, which made me think what is wrong with these people? I mean, a polite "no" is cool. Some just ignore me, another quality sign of a seller. What ever happened to the "customer" somes first appraoch from sellers nowadays? 99% of sellers are nice about it and say, sorry, because of past problems etc Cool. But why ignore? Why be rude? Why label a country for being dodgy? I just don't get it sometimes.

bas - But this is the point. Hometown conutry men can rip of people too. Why is it just international people that get the raw end of the pineapple?

Quite often, I find its the sellers that are the problems - just not sending expensive goods.

Also, I am struggling with the Paypal confirmed address crap.
How can we get Paypal confirmed?!

theflyinggerco - :-o Man, never got the bad attitude one before. Yes, agree, 99% of the sellers are nice people on the other end of their e-bay id's when you talk and explain the predictament you are in. I mean, you want a sale and I want the card, simple as that.

Lippo - Oh yyeeaaahhh, big time for me too. I have to write a speal each time about it all just to convince the seller to sell to me. Idon't know what you guys do, but even with 100% feedback, high end item purchases and registered mail doesn't cut it for some people.

If it keeps up, I will have to give up on set cahses. I mean, you can't expect to chase a set of cards serialled to 10 and have cards you let up, just because they don't ship to OZ. It's just too hard to do.

I'm finding this out as well. I can't get expensive Exquisites easily (esp the beautiful patches!!) because most don't ship to Aus. -> it could also be that theyre out of my price range too :p

:-D Ha ha ha ha

Yeah, exquisite are a problem. BUt then again, I can't even get a $5.00 game used card to oz! So, I really doubt it's the $$$ amount of the card that matters to sellers?

Sometimes I just feel like replying to a "no" reponse by saying eg: on a $100 item "O.k, no problems. Good luck on the sale and hope you get at least $130 for it"!!!!!

yeah i know, its their loss in the end, you would think 500 feedback with 100% pos would be enough... but oh well

its funny cause i find the people in the USA that sell internationally generally get more $$ for the item than if they just sell it to US people only. There loss i guess, when i look at items on ebay now if i see they don't deliver to Australia then i don't waste my time asking them.

I agree on all of mavsman's quote. Thats what I do. I ask them and tell them that I buy cards from the U.S. all the time and never had any problem. Then ask them to check your feedback. Most of the time they'll let you.

But some will really not allow us. Then its their loss.
