Gold Coast- What to do?

Heading up to the motherland at the end of the month unfortunately only making it as far as the Goldie Any ideas for toddler friendly activities apart from the obligatory theme parks?

Depending on the dates, there might be a Gold Coast Blaze NBL game on

go a bit further and see the Steve Irwin Zoo

Aquaduck boat adventure? Also could take a guided tour up to Noosa (takes about a day).

We have Currubin Wildlife Sanctuary which has a great Kangaroo and Emu feeding area. There is a card shop at Carrara Markets but the Markets themselves are a rip off due stall holders having to pay high rent. Tallebudgera Creek is a great little inlet on the South side of Burleigh Headlands which is a nice spot for a swim. A day up at Mount Tamborine where there is some great shops and cafe's. Do yourself a favour... Don't spend to much time in Surfers Paradise, AKA Sufferers Paradise.
