Each year I try to pick a few cards up of a promising second round prospect.
Spencer Dinwiddie is a big 6'6' guard who can run the show and play off the ball. Decent handle and can pose all sort of defensive matchup problems. Would have gone higher in the draft last year but for a pretty bad injury which interrupted his pre-season. Struggling to find his shot at the moment but when it's on he can take charge of a game....
Big chance for him with Jennings down for the start of the season and Reggie Jackson not being a true PG either. Could get time if he beats out Steve Blake for minutes (which he should) so he's one guy who should improve with minutes at the start of the year.
By way of the Colorado Buffaloes (always draws comparisons to fellow alumni Chauncey Billups) I present to you, the man with the Mo' - The Mayor!
Starting things off with a couple of Spectra patch autos, first unnumbered and light blue /99
Few cracking on card autos /100, /199, /260
..not on card but/49
...and the nice Prestige combo to finish - patch /25
As always, thanks for looking, comments are always appreciated too. If you have anything Dinwidd-ish let me know.
Nice write up! I'm interested to see how the Pistons play this season, specifically with them putting a focus on Drummond being the man. Good selection of on-card autos too. I'm not to sure about the paramount impressions as to whether they are a cut auto, or manufactured in card like panini have done in the past. Either way I have a randle coming in of those myself.
Not expecting anywhere near Jordan, if he gets to Billups calibre I'd be impressed at my own scouting potential! Just like to speculate on some low end cardboard... Just have to find who I like from this years second round now! Early going but Mickey is in a good situation with limited upside, Harrison has the upside but isn't in the best situation and JP Tokoto is one to watch for the future if you're swinging for the fences!

Pistons are now almost fully Van Gundified - big man in the middle and surrounded by 3 point threats. Monroe and J Smith just weren't Gundy material and as ironic as it may sound Ilyasova is! Borderline playoff material team, 8th seed best case scenario - calling it early!
