Hi everyone, got a tip from a friend about this site and wow this brings back the memories of when i was at school, lunchtimes was all about trading cards. I actually liked going to school on a monday to see any new cards my friends picked up on the weekend.
Im a tragic Canberra Raiders supporter and yes the last few years have been poor but we will come back to the glory days of the green machine in the late 80's and early 90's.
Welcome to OCT, and yes I think the 80's was the most exciting years for collecting NRL cards without thinking about money, I remember at school playing far-ies against the wall which you will never see happening with today’s cards.
Hey another old bugger...........join the club and welcome to OCT.
Plenty of Raiders tragics on here.....that backline in the late 80's: Belcher / Ferguson / Meninga / Daley / Walters / Stuart....Jackson was pretty awesome
I can agree the 80s were the day Parents sent you to the shop while there buy a packet of Scanlens eat the chewy take the cards add what was needed to your collection take the rest to school to play flicks to see if we could what we still needed Ah the good old days
As for your team you should feel blessed I am a parra supporter and we are the spooners this year .... Another reason to bring the 80s we were up there back them lol ....
