guess some of the guys are worried people are looking to make $s out of their signatures and put in poor efforts with the sharpie in hand to combat that ?

maybe after a few seasons in the NRL they all end up with sausage fingers and use that as an excuse!

but yup poor effort for sure, I had a number of Steve Kearneys 1999/2000 cards and major game tickets, he signed them all S K , pretty cool ey ? [not really I binned the lot ]

So this isn't just a recent thing certain players have started doing, whatever floats their boats

I have no objection to someone having an abbreviated auto, In Gaz's case his early full auto would have been a pain to sign for loads of fans, over and over again, it is only human nature to make things easier for yourselves over time.

It also puts a premium on any piece when they sign in full, at the right time Gaz still signs in full or at least fuller.
