By most accounts, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant produced the greatest season of his young career in 2014 with a fitting 88 receptions (just five shy of his single-season best) for 1,320 yards (just 62 shy of his single-season best) and a career-high 16 touchdowns. Along the way, the dynamic pass-catcher earned First-Team All-Pro honors, helped the Cowboys advance to the divisional round of the NFC Playoffs and earned his second straight Pro Bowl nod.
Now, thanks to Panini Authentic’snew exclusive agreement with Bryant, hardcore fans and collectors have the chance to get their hands on some of the history-soaked memorabilia Bryant wore while putting up those gaudy 2014 numbers. Early last week, Panini Authentic officials conducted their first extensive signing session with Bryant, a productive sit-down during which the superstar signed, among other things, his helmet from the 2014 season and his jersey and pants from the Cowboys’ Week 13 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Those items went live today on the Panini Authentic website along with several other autographed pieces of memorabilia, including a few featuring Bryant’s “Throw Up the X” inscription. You can check out all of the limited-edition pieces in the Panini Authentic Dez Bryant Collection now.
So, what does Bryant think about joining a Panini Authentic family featuring the likes of Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Andrew Luck and more? How did his now-famous “throwing up the X” begin? Check out the quick video interview below to find out. And after the video, stick around for a complete gallery of Panini Authentic’s newest Bryant memorabilia.
