Late yesterday evening, several large boxes arrived at the Panini America receiving dock, freshly delivered from the company’s printing facility across town. While the packaging labels on the outside of those boxes — “2012 Panini Absolute FB†— foretold of promising contents, I didn’t get the chance to actually see what was inside until today.
By the time I made it back to the Acquisitions area this morning, a dedicated team of Panini America folks was diligently yet carefully unpacking those boxes, preparing the precious cargo — 2012 Absolute Football Rookie Cards and parallels — for shipment to the respective NFL rookie superstars who will sign them.
The gallery below features some of the shimmering singles in their unsigned state, primarily the NFL, AFC and NFC prime-memorabilia versions. We’ll have tons of after-autograph peeks to share as soon as they arrive back to Panini America HQ safely and soundly.
