Why don't they just stop a play like that and give the ball to the other team? No-one could possibly argue that that pass was doing anything but going straight out of court...what about if the ref had a foot out of court, then the ball would have also been out of play. The ref didn't cause the bad pass, or stop Kobe from running onto the ball, doesn't make any sense to let that play stand.
 
Well there is our answer, Odom just needs 50 refs on the court to deflect his passes and limit his turnovers.

And I agree. Thats tough as its clearly headed for out of bounds.
