Free card tool I just made..

Hey guys... you know sometimes when people give you a list of cards to look through & it's not in any sort of order.. such as the below (but at times longer)..

06-07 topps finest refractor /349
99-00 skybox premium
99-00 upperdeck black diamond
99-00 topps
05-06 espn palys of the day
08-09 starquest first edition
05-06 topps
97-98 bowmans best rc
97-98 upperdeck collectors choice rc
97-98 fleer rc
97-98 topps rc
97-98 metal universe rc
97-98 flair showcase row 2 rc
97-98 skybo z force rc
98-99 stadium club

Personally I find these lists hard to look through as I have my cards stored in albums by year & usually have to re-order the lists manually to help with this.

So, I decided to do something about it & make a tool that would automatically reorder the list for me.... I was just going to make it for my own use but then thought others may find it useful as well & tidied it up a little.

I usually do mine in Excel.

Just a suggestion, but couldn't you also make it sort them alphabetically as well as by date? Just as Excel would do, but you would need to be able to distinguish between the numbers and the first letter of the product.

Thanks for the suggestion, will see if I can add it in..

Btw, just so people know..... the tool currently supports adding the years in the following formats..

1990
90
1990-1991
1990-91
90-1991
90-91
1990/1991
1990/91
90/1991
90/91

The lists can be in multi-formats as well & don't need to be all in the one format.

Alright....... alphabetical sort on the cards within the year is now added.

Although...... if the years are put in different such as 2008-09 & 08-09 it won't group them together as one year & alphabetically sort the cards for them.... suppose I could add support for that if it's really needed.
