Its a great idea, depending on how competitive you want to be and how loyal you want your customers to be. You could offer 5%, but its really up to your business model as to whether you can afford to take a hit of 5% off your bottom line on sales.
Any bonuses you offer will be welcomed with open arms.

Dacardworld is a very sound business model, gift rather than discount % costs less for the supplier (trade price) and the buyer receives and sees the "retail" value of the gift.
