I am 5 days away from foxtel!!!!!!!, is it true that there is only 2 games on espn a week?. Do they show pre season games?. is there anything like nba action anymore?. any bball shows?, how many baseball and gridiron games a week?

You get 2 games a week. And Yes you get NBA Action, and it's not delayed by a week like it use to be on Channel 10 , usually its a day behind. They did show preseason games about 4-5 years ago, not anymore.

You get maybe 3? NFL games, both on FoxSports and ESPN. Monday night Football is on ESPN

Baseball, not sure, dont watch it.

It's still worth while though.....Foxsports & ESPN are the two main cahnnels i watch

2 games a week its terrible............when is Austar/Foxtel going to get with the program and show like 2 on espn and 2 pn Fox Sports 1 or 2.......4 is better than 2...

heaps of baseball on, not enough gridiron or basketball...i find baseball really boring and it always seems to be on foxsports.

gridiron i think there is 2 games a week (1 on espn 1 on foxsports), and 2 games of b-ball on espn (thursday and saturday)....you get NBA ACtion and also the Kia SHootaround before the games with Greg anthony, tim legler and Screamin A Smith

isnt it funny how they have Greg Anthony, Tim Legler on this pregame shootaround.........i mean those guys have done jack sh*t in their basketball careers .....Legler won the 96 3point shoot out....thats about it lol.....Greg Anthony thinks he is top sh*t cause he was part of the 94 Knicks that went to game 7 on the NBA finals....was good when they had Pippen on it....someone who has been there and done that.......ever wonder why Bill Walton looks down on Greg Anthony when he gives his input? haha...

i hate pippen as an analyst, he has NO TONE whatsoever in his voice, i mean hes very knowledgable, but i just cant listen to him, i'd ALMOST pick Steven A Smith over him!!! and that's saying something...

on a side note, who was more annoying on draft night?? Screamin A Smith trying to sound like who knew stuff when he clearly didnt or Dick Vitale creaming all over the US talent and pretending the internationals didnt exist?

yeah usuaully they are on in the morning sometime around 1030 or 1100 and then they are replayed later on in the evening about 730, well at least they are on austar... world champs are coming up soon , i think the first game is on sunday 19th against brazil on fox sports at 730

there is an upside and a down side with the game times here...like cath said the Live games are on in the morning, then the replay is on at night.....if it was me id tape the Live game in the morning because sometimes on the replay ESPN says "due to time constraints, we move ahead in this ESPN program"..so to be safe thats what i would do. used to pee me off big time when im watching a game then the reply cuts out like half a quarter..the score would be for example 39-37....then the next thing you know its 84-93 ..then im like WTF? lol

Definately swith to ESPN around 6pm for Sports Center.
Up to date inside goss (even if it is replayed from earlier on). At least you get highlights from the day's games.

im gettin foxtel this week too dead end... had in for years back at my folks place... but now that i have moved out... im dying watching free to air...

i love baseball.... they have sunday/wednesday & friday night baseball... which means its monday/thurs & sat'day mornings....

sportscentre is a must....

i have one qs for non NSW ppl here on the forum.... when i watch my NRL, do you guys get the same thing, or do u guys get AFL on fox 1,2 & league on fox footy channel ?

Hm wonder if they have cut the NFL telecast schedule? cos... between ESPN and Foxsports.... you could get 5 games a week during regular season.... Sunday Night and Monday night football, plus double headers in the early hours of sunday morning on foxsports.....

damn I miss the Austar and the Gridiron......

Fox Footy channel si AFL.... (Tas/Vic etc)

and League is ALL over fox sports 1 & 2... something else I miss about austar.... *sigh* that and the LIVE Union telecasts I do not often get in Tasmania.
