10 NBA teams made the top 50 this year. The top half of the list really has no surprises, but good to see Mark Cuban has got the Dallas Mavericks on the list.
I'm actually shocked that despite very little (if any) success on the court, both the Knicks and the Lakers have been able to make significant increases to their valuations from 12 months ago. The "cost of admission" to this list also rose from $850mill last year to $1.15bill this year - sports teams obviously very profitable at the top end.
Note: There are actually 51 teams due to a 3 year tie at spots 49-51
