Fleer retro - thoughts ?

I see Fleer retro is out and hitting ebay etc ? What are people's thoughts with it having the Precious Gems etc like we've seen in sports?? Pretty expensive product at almost 200 a box and the sketches look to be normal card size and if I read right, only one per box ?? And two auto's which seem way less popular/valuable in the non-sport world ? So is it so expensive just due to the low number parallels ??? What are peoples thoughts ? Personally I could see the value in Premier, but not so much in this ??

I have been checking this product out as well, and the inserts in this like the Jambayala and PMG's (actually think these look really cool) are going for some pretty good prices currently. Like you say though, the autos seem to not garner much $$ wise and to be honest a lot of the sketches I have seen so far have not exactly "wowed" me either.

Yeah, I'm struggling to see the value myself...I'm not into different color numbered foil inserts, I see their value as pretty artificial. Holgrams might be nice, but nothing really new. At least with Premier you got two sketches and the chance of getting a real nice multi panel..

I could see the "hype" of the PMG and Jambayala dyeing pretty quickly to be honest much like they did with the NFL release.

Only people who care about the cards are 1. Fleer collectors, or 2. people looking to get EVERY card of their PC player.

I thought I would bite the bullet and get me a box... but DA have sold out. Just have mini-boxes left. Not sure if I should get a mini box or not...

How much are they? I love the product so a biased answer from me, go for it! I have seen so many nice cards pulled from mini boxes.

$99.95. So the price isn't too bad. I would just hate to buy 1 mini box and have all the main box hits in the other mini box (which knowing my luck would happen!). It's very, very tempting though...

It's hit or miss though, have a look at some past box breaks here.

I saw some of those on eBay, thought they looked really funny, applying sports insert themes to marvel characters... definitely one of those weird releases, it is probably something different for your regular comic cards collector

$250 a box with $6.60 shipping. It's the cheapest we can do it but its very reasonable in comparison to what the states are selling them for now
