Hey guys - The showcase is one of the highest humbered out of the inserts!!! Work it out

Retro is limited to 1,500 cases world wide, I did some sums and here how it goes

Lebron (who I collect) for example:

Golden Touch 1:180 - 15 cards in the set - Lebron is 1:2,700 Packs approx 50 Copies printed world wide
Intimination Nation 1:180 - 35 Cards in the set - Lebron is 1:6,300 around 25 copies world wide (Rarest out of the retro release)

Man, these will be worth $$$ in years to come

If I have done my sums wrong please let me know, but this is about where it is at, these are rare cards ladies and gents

So I forgot to mention, the Showcase /150 is one of the most common inserts,
yet they are going on ebay for most $$ on the bay

With all this stuff about Game Used jerseys legitimacy etc, no wonder these are fetching the dollars they are

So, overall my sums are

Approx Total UD Retro Packs Produced: 180,000

Jordan for Example:
Golden Touch 1:180 - 15 Card Set - MJ 1:2,700 pks-
2,700 divided 180,000 = 60-70 Made

Sums might not be right if King Richard at UD comes out in 10 years and says there was actually 3,000 cases made LOL

Sorry about the going on about this but I am an accountant, not much of a life hey

Nah mate, you are spot on. My comment was about the showcase being the only OBVIOUSLY limited insert because it didn't require you to work out the odds to know how many there are!

I commented earlier in another thread that I found the Intimidation Nation the hardest to get of my PC player!

Tell me about it bro, only seen 1-2 Lebron Intimidation nation on the bay, yet when they came out went for around $70 each, hope one comes up soon for me

Don't get it. The Intimidation Nation set looks awful. So it's limited to about 25 (speculative at best), lots of LeBron cards actually numbered to 25, why should these cards be any different? examples:

total cards that look the same, thats were Panini get it wrong I reckon.........

Only value there is the NT /25

There are heaps of Jordans and Kobes /25, but why do the 90's Inserts go north of $500??

Ultra Stars 35 Card Set - Odds are 1:180 / Per Player Odds - 1:4,500, so 180000/4500 = 40 Cards only

90's inserts are not the same as the current cards though, that's the point. The cards in the 90's were very hard to pull as the print runs were much larger than they are today. Fleer retro only has supposedly 1500 cases produced and it is fairly easy to pull any of the inserts from those boxes. One only has to look at the box breaks to see this. The examples I've given are just a random bunch from a quick search, and it is clear that cards numbered to 25 do not command a premium from late 2000's boxes. Fleer retro is much the same as these late 2000's boxes, except it's just ripped the designs from the 90's and all of a sudden, collectors are saying "damn, these cards are rare and are going to hold their value for a long time". I don't get the logic. It's just putting lipstick on a pig and naming it "Rose".
