This will be a quick post tonight as I will need time to get ready for the Sports Celebrity Weekend Event going on tommorow.
First off earlier today, I did head out to the resort for about an hour. After walking around the resort and when it was all said and done, I saw nobody of importance around at the resort today. It would be my thinking that the celebrities probably stayed at other hotels around the area here and that the Celebrity Golf outing did not really draw very well. The prices were a bit steep in my opinion to golf with a random celebrity at the event today. Hopefully I do very well at the autograph sessions tommorow.
After doing all that, I went home for a few hours and made my way back out to the Wuerfel for the game tonight. I basically went to get 50/50s done.
Okay I will list my results now:
Washington Wild Things
Got on a baseball:
Most of the players but not going to list them all tonight.
Also got:
Greg Jelks 7 cards (3 for Beckster24, and 1 for secondbase.)
Beach Bums
Patrick Perry 2 cards (1 for boswell423)
Also got:
Bryan Rembisz 1 SS baseball, 1 Beach Bums program cover (If you did not hear the news, he was just signed by the Angels tonight which makes him the 3rd player overall the Beach Bums have signed to an affailiated team and he is the 1st player to be signed during the season. Since I got these items done, I am really hoping he makes it big with the Angels. We will see how that turns out...)
That will cover it for tonight as I am in a rush to get this up so I can get ready for tommorow. I do have a story of John Wuerfel telling me about Bryan Rembisz getting signed to the Angels but if anyone wants to hear it, I can post it another day lmk.
I can also share a foul ball story to from this game but I will not do it tonight.
What a night this was. A bad day at the resort turns out to be a good night at the Wuerfel as Bryan Rembisz I heard was signed to the Angels while I was getting autographs pre game.
