First ever mailday post - And catching Up - SCAN HEAVY

Well I have been back in the hobby for around 1 year after having nothing to do with it since I put together my Fleer base sets as a kid (94/95) and have been learning the ropes all over again for the last year.

I have started collecting almost everything Spurs (as a massive D Rob fan as a kid) and sort of thought it wouldn't get anywhere as there are just too many out there so I went for just a DeJuan Blair collection (being the 09/10 rookie). I have posted a few of my favourite Blairs so far, and also some of the Spurs stuff that I still had to get. By no stretch of the imagination am I a high end collector, but more of a set collector, even when it comes to PC players I find myself going for mini sets.....

And my favourite Blair set chase.............. 6 out of 10 so far, with most of the hard ones knocked off. Only ones left are /250, /50, /50 and the last one is /10.

Please forgive my ignorence but what is that in the picture of the "Fabric of the Game" cards. Is it sposed to be a shoe fabric?

Thanks fellas. I recently started paying more attention to the Maildays threads. Man its a great way to see whats out there, but it provides terribly expensive motivation. LOL

The single colour fabrics are part of the main jersey material - white, black or grey in the spurs stuff.
The materials with more colours are usually taken from either the edgeing of the jersey, or the sewn on parts of the jersey, like the team name, or the number etc. For example - the Blake Griffin patch is from the 'C' in clippers on their alternate Orange jersey.
Personally I think the best of getting a patch card is working out where it came from!

But I was more referring to the background image on the 09/10 Certified cards themselves. I know I am only new to the hobby, but I just can't seem to figure it out!

I think you might be onto something with the shoe thing though. It may not be aimed at that, but it does look a bit like some of the linings.

Thanks Terry. Just busted 2 more boxes on the weekend and pulled a Bill Russell on card auto in one box and the John Wall SP contenders patch auto in the other. It continues... lol

And it would need to be some sweeeeet spurs cards to convince me to move the Griffin. haha
