Hey,

Im all new to this and was just wondering where i start with buying boxes of cards

I want to start collecting more now and have decided the better way to go is to buy the boxes straight up

But then there is the question of what set or what sport.. I like all sports so that doesnt bother me but how do i know what sets are better then others or where my value is in buying boxes

Any help would be muchly appreciated

Really depends on what you want to collect. Unfortunately, the aussie sports sets are only sold through newsagents and select servo's, so you've got to pay their price - assuming they will actually sell boxes rather than packs. Your best bet is to get onto a hobby store where they sell sports cards - online is your best choice as there is very little in the gosford area (if at all).

Comes down to price mate. You have to buy it online as well. 1 box, hit up an ebay seller. Whodat/Cherry/Paparrazzi will all do very reasonable prices for you.

If you're not sure what set to go for, check out my youtube i've busted a lot of sports and a lot of different cards from low end to high end.

The only time an Aussie card store will get up and running in Sydney, is when one of us wins a big lotto Jackpot and can run one at break-even.

Start with sport mate, it makes a hell of a difference when you open packs and know who are on the cards.... Once u decide this, ask the same questions in that sport area...

Scott, there are plenty of authorised sellers here on OCT to help with sport and non-sport boxes, check any of the NRL, AFL, Cricket and bball forums to find good sellers. In non-sport, check out tangents group buys.
