Hoping for the Hawkers. The further they get this year, the better for them next year and following years. Unfortunately I think Adelaide are hitting their straps at the perfect time in the season and if they stop Buddy, I think it'll be over.
Im tipping Hawthorn. Adelaide have a lack of forward power for mine. If the Crows play McGregor and Perrie perhaps they'll be able to kick a winning score (Perrie is an emergency). Fantastic run out of defense is what I've noticed with the Crows. Stiffy and McLeod are hardest to stop with their run from defense.
The Hawks have a very capable forward line. Buddy, Roughead, Dixon and Boyle are all capable of kicking 5 goals or more. I feel Crawf will be very hungry as it has been a while since he's played finals footy.
Interesting that we have two teams here perhaps going in opposite directions. Hawthorn on the way up it would appear, and Adelaide looking like they will spiral down in seasons ahead, with some champions of the game retiring.
Hodge and Buddy were the stars. Buddy i think cementing his place into footys elite with that final goal, the pressure he was under would have been massive.
That's what finals footy is about. I'm not "going" for any team but if the first two finals were anything to go by, what a great September we are going to have!!
All I can say is - DAMN it was hard not to scream my lungs out when Buddy kicked that goal (I was at work watching on in silence while trying to do my job)... I feel kind of robbed from enjoying the moment though by being at work... but at least I got to see it!
Congrats to Roo for a great career.
But Buddy Franklin... you can kick 2.11 during a regular season game anytime if you play like that in finals!!
Buddy Love!!!! How good is he? I bet richmond are happy they picked richard tambling ahead of franklin in the draft a few years back! seriously though, a 20 yr old to kick 7 big goals including that last one outside 50 under a tonne of pressure what lies ahead for him and the hawks over the next 10 yrs? maybe another dynasty... watch this space
hodgey and crawf were inspirational... im soooo wrapped right now!!! that win has absolutely made my weekend

I know i'm getting old when the old ticker registers 180 bpm thanks to J.Roughead. The neighbours were ready to call the police after Buddy kicked that amazing goal.
The Hawks backline was nothing short of amazing especially C.Brown's Courage & Desperation as well as the Forward Line's pressure on Adelaide's Backmen, Where was Mcleod????
North Melbourne here we come.

McLeod and Stiffy were very quiet by their standards. This went a long way to the Hawks winning the game. IMO they should have played Perrie over Roo.
All credit to the Hawks though. Hodge was fantastic, I felt the Crows gave Clinton Young no respect at all as he seemed to be loose a lot. Sammy Mitchel, and Crawf played their usual above average games. All I can say is wow at Buddy Franklin's game!

McLeod had his lowest possession game of the SEASON! Well done Vander! Was awesome game to even listen to on the radio, can;t imagine watching! Buddy is awesome.
