Seriously, what's the point in grading comics. Sure, the older the issue is and the better condition it is in helpd if you wanna resell, but you won't be able to read it.

At least with graded cards, there are only 2 sides, and very rarely "pages"/"foldouts"

And you call yourself a collector, be ashamed be very ashamed :)

while i understand the point of grading comics, i dont like it and would never do it. cards are different, you can enjoy everything about a card still when its graded, but comics, they just sit there, never to be read. comics should be read and enjoyed over and over again, not bagged and boarded and put in a display case. same with toys, i hate those wankers that keep all their toys still in the box and put them on display, their meant to be played with, take them out of the freakin box!

Grading comics is actually like grading cards. The higher the grade the better the value.

I think the 1st ever issue of spiderman or superman has a Book value of $30,000 so if I had the comic I would want it protected too.

Yes I read alot of comics. :)

That is what I meant to say but didn't. I'm all for collecting comics, but they are there for my enjoyment (ie reading etc), and not just for visual stimulation. This turns collecting (or hobby) into a business where you're only into it for the $$$.
