Just dont have the FFXI Online (cos it's JUST Online). And I dont have an expansion pack for the PS2 (and Broadband is missing too, lol).
Awesome games tho!
Actually started playing FFVII again a few weeks back.
But that didnt last long (wanted to finish it before I saw the movie, but the movie arrived before I finished it).
Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy 8
Final Fantasy 9
Final Fantasy X and X-2.
Still havent found the time to finish X-2 yet though. Problem with Role-playing games is that it tends to take over your social life.
I can honestly say I've spent over 150 hours just on FF7 and FF8.
FF7 is the BEST game I've ever played.
Not so much the understanding (I had a friend with me who completed the game already), it was the disbelief I was playing a game resembling dress up barbie
hahaha i go old school the best is vii for sure. also have 9 and 10 and got 4, 5, and 6 in the anthology. great stories in them graphics crap but still game play the same
LOL, the Dresspheres, that was a great addition to X-2, certainly a much better game having Yuna as the main heroine.
I havent finished X-2 yet, but plan on doing it before I die. lol.
Anyone seen the video between FFX & FFX-2? It's awesome, brings the stories together.
PS3 is releasing FFVII!!!!
It looks STUNNING!!!
Oh and FFVII, that's by far the best storyline'd game ever. FFVIII was OK, but not great. FFIX was actually boring.... FFX stepped up a notch, became the 2nd best release, and X-2 well that's just as good.
Colin, didnt the Anthology have 4 & 5 in it? FFVI came as a separate release. They released FF & FFII for the PS1 as a double pack, but I never got that one. I have FF, FFII & FFIII all as Roms playable on my Xbox through a NES Emulator. Then the rest on PS1 & PS2.
If anyone has the book/guide (Official Bradey Games) for FFVII I'd be glad to buy from you (pending condition of course).
i like X better than X-2, cos summoning is awesome (my bahumet thing deals 50k+ damage) and X-2 is just confusing. If u take the wrong path, u can stuff up ur chances to finish the game in 100%. although, when i finish X (i just killed yunalesca) im gonna play X-2 again, cos i bought a guide from ebay
ack this is bullshit! i followed the guide perfectly well, and the guide never said anything about going upstairs in the chocobo ranch thing to setup a commsphere, so i missed out on 0.2%!! GRRRR, now i wil never get that 100 percent ending i wanted. can anyone explain to me (btw im 81 percent thru yay)
wat do u guys have or had ur characters as?
i got rikku as a samurai or a blackmage
yunie as a dark knight or a gunner or a gun mage
and paine as a berserker or a warrior
hmm... i have final fantasy 8 and 9 for the playstation 1..
i have the x-2 for the playstation 2..
OMG.. i'm really waiting for the fFxIII for the ps3..
hahaa.. but it would only be out by winter.. and it's
only released in japan at that time.. 2010 is the year for
everyone not in japan..
Just found this info on the new FF... Not sure if I like or don't like the new battle system... Having multiple tasks/moves sounds cool, but not having control of the other 2 party members sounds not so cool...
Good to see the Summons back, they're always a plus in these games. And having Bahamut back is fantastic!
Wiki said:
The battle system, called Command Synergy Battle in game, has been described as "More tactical than Final Fantasy X, faster than X-2, and almost as seamless as XII". The enemies are visible in the field. When the player runs into them with the playable characters, the camera changes position and the battle menu pops up, marking the start of a battle. This makes the transition from exploration to battle nearly seamless.
In the battle, the player can control only one character out of a party of up to three, but that character can be switched anytime. The other party members act according to A.I.-settings. The Active Time Battle bar returns in the battle system, but this time it is divided into sections (different screenshots show three and five sections). Each command available to the battle party have a numeric value referred to as "ATB Cost" next to the name indicating how many of these sections it will take up. This allows the player to input several commands per turn. The next turn comes up sooner if the ATB bar is only partially used.
The available commands vary from character to character, but series staples such as Attack, Fire, Blizzard and Cure make a return, along with new commands such as Launch, which will send the enemy flying into the air. The system how a character learns these commands is not yet revealed.
Magic is only available to characters that are l'Cie. Because of the "ATB Cost" points, there is no MP in the game. Also, since magic cannot be used outside of battle, the party's HP is completely restored after every battle.
A new element called the Break bar is added to the battle, as well. It is specific to each enemy, and it depletes as the player performs attack combos marked by a percentage. If the combos continue, "Break Mode" is entered, where even more damage can done. Enemies in this mode can be Launched in the air and juggled while in Break Mode.
When a battle is won, a victory screen pops up, giving the player points referred to as "TP" and a one-to-five ranking on how they did in the battle, as well as showing how long the battle took and the number of chain and break attacks. This information is linked to the Trophy and Achievement systems of PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, respectively.
[edit] The Summoned Summons return in this game as the Summoned, linked with the powers of the l'Cie. Revealed veteran summons include Shiva, Ifrit, Carbuncle and Siren, who all have a new, more futuristic design. The summons are used both in battle and as plot devices in cutscenes. According to an interview with one of the creators, Bahamut will also appear in Final Fantasy XIII.
