Why you ask?? Cos you'll need a PS3 to continue playing the series...

Rather disappointed, but I do hope this is not concrete.

Since they're not making the PS3 to play the PS2 games any more, chances are, I'm gonna need to keep my PS2, AND upgrade to a PS3 at some stage...

That sucks ! (That the PS3 won't play PS2 games)

I only ever played FFVII and was hooked on that alone (lol)

i keep my old copnsoles in mint condition as possible, as i play games on their original systems. ive actually found PS1 games run a lot smoother on that system than on my PS2 (even though sony stated that ps1 games would run smoother and graphics would look better on ps2). ill do the same when i buy a ps3.

Graphics would look better? Games are designed to suit the consoles, how could they make say, FFVII look better on the PS2 than the PS1?

But you're right Jezz, I tossed my old PS1 years ago tho, and just kept the PS2. But now that FFXIII is coming on PS3 only....
