I have an item coming from Mexico. Has gone through the US, Japan, Malaysia, and now it is in WA 'available for clearance'.

I hit FedEx chat up this morning as tracking hadn't updated since Saturday when it was in Malaysia. They informed me that it had to return to US customs as it hadn't been customs checked or something.

I checked tracking again half an hour ago and it is now in Belmont WA (my local FedEx). I contacted FedEx through chat again, and they confirmed that it will be returning to the US to be custom checked.

Has anyone encountered anything similar in the past?

cheers

Anyone? Just hit them up again, and definitely has been recalled by customs in either Mexico or the US. How or why would this happen??

I had this happen when it was 2 packages making up 1 order so the declarations didn't match and had to be returned and checked together at the same time this was also with fed ex

I had this happen with a present from an American friend. Sit tight is the only advice I can give you.

The larger question is why it went via Mexico?

Was coming from Mexico. After speaking to different people from FedEx, one said it is being returned to US customs, the other said Mexico.
Cheers mate.
