For our resident drinkers out there, as I'm sure we've got some!! What's your favourite drop?

Do you drink Frothies, are you a bit of a wine-o, do you like to hit the top-shelf, or are you a bit of a connoisseur?

Either way, I'm sure this'll attract a few responses...!!

I'll start us off, I'm a scotch drinker.

Still yet to explore some of the more finer drops, but I've always been a Johnnie Walker fan. I've got a couple of un-opened bottles of Johnnie Blue in the cupboard, and a dribble of a Green. I think I've got some of the Double-Black left too, thanks to Facebook, I picked up 2 bottles for free!! Oh, and one of the Blue's I won at Coffs Harbour's IT Conference last year as a door-prize. Noooice!!!

I recently got given a bottle of Chivas Regal 12yr which has been my latest favourite, so much, that I'm starting to steer away from the J-Dubya's! Unless it's Green Label of course, ha ha ha.

I don't like Bourbon's. Can't stand them actually! My bro-in-law and I went to watch the footy at the pub last week, and after a few fothies we had some tastier drinks. He shouted Beam's and whilst they were free, they weren't enjoyable.

Speaking of frothies, I like my Blondes. Pure Blondes are probably my pick, but being a tassie man, I can't go passed Cascade Pure's. Just not cheap for a box.

Can't stand wine, however, there was some fruity shit we had at our wedding last year, and that was alright. Bubbly is a no-no, that shit'll clean your lawn mower!

^ lol, not fussy then Norm, you'll just take whatever's going!

I'm on the hunt for a nice scotch, something that's worth buying (Johnnie Blue @ $200 a bottle, is NOT worth buying, lol), and not nasty (like Black Douglas )

All of the above!!

Beer - Stella Artois or Corona (But the Stella has to be the local one, not the import. I tried it when I was in Belguim and it was worse than the Aussie brewed version)

Spirits - Canadian Club FTW, also love me a STRONG Vodka or 5. Recently tried that American Honey and thought it was a pretty cool concept! Would definitely drink that if I was a full time lesbian

Wine - Only really discovered wine properly after I went down to Margaret River a couple of years ago (WA's wine country) and love a deep red or a sweet sweet white. There is a winery near me that makes a 'Late Harvest' which is a nice sweet white, but they also make one simply called 'Sweet Red' and it is a deeper version of the Cienna that Norm mentioned!

Favourite beer at the moment is the Coopers 150th Anniversary Ale, have some Balmain Pale Ale in the fridge which I'm hoping will be very good as I enjoy a English style ale.

I usually drink johnny walker black label, theres almost always an open bottle in my pantry. I do have a blue label as well for special occasions! That was actually bought for the bridal table at my wedding back in march but still plenty left! I'm mainly a spirit drinker but if I have a beer I like corona, I'm not a fan of alot of the local beers. But honestly I'm not all that fussy, especially if it's free!

Ha ha, it's funny you say that. One of the two bottles I have, one was bought in QLD ages ago, but never opened, and I had planned on opening at our Wedding back in November last year, but work bought us some gifts, and they got us (well, me) a Green Label. So I opened that instead, because I knew how good it was.

What does Blue taste like? Some say it's not as enjoyable.

Also, being a JW fan, did you know they've released a Platinum Label now? I hear it's replacing the Gold Label.

I hadn't heard of platinum. I have not drank gold or green labels that much so its hard to compare, but Comparing black to blue, the blue smells and tastes alot more pronounced if that makes sense, I find it easier to drink straight as well, sometimes when drinking alchahol straight I get a bit of a gag reflex happening, I don't find that as much with the blue, it's alot easier to sip.

I manage a bottle shop so everything is cost price for me

If I'm drinking beer it'll most likely be Sapporo in the can or a Corona if I'm drinking cheap. If i'm drinking pre-mixed i'll tend to drink JD's.

I'm a big whisky drinker. Love me some Tullamore Dew 12year old, and I do like the Jameson Rarest Vintage also.

If i'm going out I'll hit the Patron Tequila and Grey Goose Vodka.

blasphemy - Cascade Smascade. Boags all the way. Don't listen to a word that the unknowing Southerner says about Cascade

I'll have a crack at just about any decent bourbon/scotch/whiskey. Recently become a fan of ciders. Personal favourites in that line are Cold Stream, Bulmers, Magners and Kepplers.

Beer - Coopers Red
Spirits - Smirnoff blue or black, Makers Mark, Jim Beam Small Batch or Devils Cut. Always on ice, no mixer (optional dash of soda if I've got double vision).

Not a big beer fan if I do its TED or Platinum, but a nice Corona and Lime is perfect in Summer.

With premixers I like thanks to Karl @Adelaide Chilli Source Johnny Walker and Cola, Beam and Cola, CC and Dry and Woodstock Cola cans.

Love Hennessy VSOP, used to drink it by the case Love mixes like Alize and Hypnotiq. Canadian Club Classic and Beam Devils.

Not a big fan of Patron overpriced for what it is.

Dont drink Red's unless its sweet and hate bubbly.

Not a huge beer fan but I do tend to drink some MGD's thanks to American background but I love my Bulmers, if u have never had cider I recommend to try Bulmers at least once

Well, being 22, im your typical piss head. Most fri and sat nights at the pub drinking schooners, well fri and sat nights im not at work :/ So if im out on the town its schooners till we go the night club then its into the vodkas..

I tend to drink either millers, peroni or coronas at home though...

Strangely when working away always take a carton of Carlton midstrength cans, only cans i'll drink. Found a private brewer that does Corona like beer, very nice at great rates. On a hot day fortunate enough that daughter's boyfriend works outside of Broom and drops a carton of Matso Mango beer. Tooppp drop. Top bloke. First beer is whats this, next, where's the carton gonski. great thread and good read. Oh yeah, do have a soft spot for PNG , South Pacific Export-white cans.

My name is steven.....LOL

Heard and read a bit of publicity about a new Aussie 'Premium' Lager called ARVO so I thought I'd give it a try, they haven't quite decided yet which one they'll market so they give you 2 types in a 6 pack.
Both poured well & were a nice very pale amber colour, good head retention, minimal aroma in the malt & hop department & turned out very bland, so it's far from a favourite, anyone else try it?.
