Hey guys I made this family shield today on Photoshop (when I should have really been doing assignments) from a sketch draw by one of my family members back in 1969, so thought it was my turn to make the new copy. So anyway thought I'd post it up here to see what you all think...as a pretty much rookie at Photoshop I think it's come out pretty well :)

I reckon it's pretty sick and will probably get it printed off onto a tshirt to wear out...thinking about getting it tatted onto my forearm at some point aswell but probably in black & white with some sick shading. Let me know what you think of it! :v:

I was asked what the sheild means so I'll add it here aswell.

The Vivian family shield:
The Annulets (Rings) means Fidelity.
The Lions mean Dauntless courage.
The Martlets (Birds) means one who has to subsist by virtue and merit, not inheritance.
The Chevron (the blue upside down V) means Protection; Builders or others who have accomplished some work of faithful service.
The colour Red on the shield means Warrior or martyr; Military strength and magnanimity.
The colour Gold on the shield means Generosity and elevation of the mind.
The colour Blue on the shield means Truth and loyalty.
The text "Vive Ut Vivas" means "Live and Let Live"

It was made ages ago by my family (Vivian) back over in England back in the days of Wars when they used to be fought by sword and shield and families had there own shields. A few of my ancestors were very high up and with close ranks of the Royal family and that and since fought in more recent wars and some been top spies for the MI6 and even a few been knighted sirs. Anyway that's what I remember my dad telling me, his crazy with his family history spends a lot of his spare time going through it all and trying to make connections and run deep in the roots...but anyway here are what the sheild means.

Hey man, I got it off a mate...does OG version mean original?
 
Great updates but I personally would keep it the same as the original design with the pictures square and banner below :) the upgrade in color is a nice touch though. The shield is a perfect idea for a tat. All tats should have some meaning to your life and experiences ! not your fav show etc
 
Nice work Nicko, got me looking up my Coat of arms now :lol:

Might have to have a crack at making a new age one as all the ones i've seen are small low quality

Yeah I'm pretty close to dropping in I reckon, I've always loved the design since I first laid eyes on it like 15 yrs or so ago...just unsure where to get it, thinking on the arm somewhere, liking the inside of the forearm at this stage I think

Cheers mate! Yeah if I got a tatt of it I'd drop the wording back underneath it, I was just trying to give it a slightly different look :)
