Got this in yesterday. 1 of the other big Pippen collectors has this card but his stripe is running left to right. When i opened this from the bubble mailer i instantly saw how the card was raised...you can sort of see it on the right. Anyone know about these? Its not the patch version as it isnt numbred, its just a "stretchy" but not sure if its real...the piece isnt sticking out of the card though, i went to my other 2 versions of this card and they were flat??
Not sure about whether there should be a patch in it...but the raising doesn't worry me. I have a few older cards that are a little raised around even jersey swatches simply cause I guess they weren't as precise/perfected as they are with jersey cards now...that said I have some newer cards that are raised a little too! The only query to me in the patch inserted...though sometimes jersey piping is clasified as a jersey piece too. I have this as an example, both are identical, jersey versions:
yeah the other 2 i have are flat, im talking about the cardboard though, the jersey is recessed perfectly so its not like its been stuck in, also the card is slightly rasied on the back like a lot of other game used cards out there, as if its been recessed to fit the jersey. I know this is the 2nd one of these out there so im inclined to think its real, because its the piping around the arms and neck the material is a lot thicker...just not sure. thank christ its not a faded auto!

On a more serious note, I also have quite a few jersey cards with pipping used in them, but they're aren't that thick! I compared this miller i have (top row, first card) to others, and it isn't any thicker and the card is quite thin.
