Patches can be removed and inserted. What some people will get up to is extreme. Although I have seen some cards from all makes UD, Panini, Topps have numbered patch cards to as low as 5 with a huge difference in one patch to another, a few cards I've seen are not even patches more like jersey piece.
Yeah I thought that those type of patches on #13 might be reserved for more low #d cards ie /3 or /5
Looks like a sleeve patch, mlb logoman and majestic logo (could possibly be a laundry tag?)
i got a patch card with nothing on it there usually the inside of numbers or something than the same card with same numbering has multible breaks and colours just the luck of the draw, theres 2 different things in those cards though which is unusual i thought all cards with the same numbering have the same design and writing, those 2 have different cut outs and different writing underneath? so is one a jersey and the other patch both numbered to /25
I think the numbering and the look of the tags makes this one particularly suspect - especially given the look of card 13/25. I'd stay clear of this one but just my opinion...
I agree with lilreddevil. At face value, they look totally suspect. But this is a hard judgement for me to make because of the baseball shape over the patches, they would not be an easy swap.. dunno..
Have seen multiple patch cards, one card has brilliant patches (legit) and another card the same has one-colour patches... hmm...
I know nothing about the cards or series but the shapes are different where the patches/jersey's are which should mean they are different cards (even though the photo is the same). One might be from a patch /25 and the other jersey /25.
Yeah thats what i was thinking... knew it would be too hard to insert the patches in those cut outs.
I looked through the checklist and there was no variants in the set... it was only either 3,4,5, and 6 relic
Heres an example of a 5 card relic, same player, both numbered to 25 with different shapes & different card titles:
They wouldnt make that card, that loaded with patches because its #d to his jersey ???
Or is that more of a reason why someone would fake the card??
The price difference is about 500% from #14 to #13...
Fake. To replace patches you only need to cut top 1 or 2 layers off.
A big thing here aswell is baseball isn't really known for having SICK patches all that often. Topps Sterling is a great product based around foil and on card autos not patches. For patches Topps Marquee or the fabled 2009 Ultimate are the cards of choice. This is an obvious fake.
