What does it mean when an Error page is shown when clicking on a member's name/link?

Does it mean the member is banned?

Possibly. May also mean member has you on ignore

From anywhere where the Username appears as a link, like on the side of this thread.

that one worked for me, took me straight to his profile page -but may be related to the fact that the user is banned

May I ask what he was banned for? because I have a deal with him that has not closed.

I don't know fully but it was related to being a previously banned user
