I have to admit I'm becoming increasingly tired of buyer attitudes on eBay. They get the most protection yet they complain the most.
Issue number one. "Why did you end the item I am bidding on... it's unfair"..... The item is mine. If I choose to end the item. I don't have to explain myself to anyone..... It is after all my item.. And I can sell it elsewhere for whatever amount I want... And no... It is not your right to know how much it sold for..
Issue number two. "Can you sell it to me cheaper"....... No.
As a buyer I am a dream. I purchase and pay straight away. If I bid on something that "disappears" I deal with it... If I think something is overpriced..... I don't bid on it and I don't ask to get it cheaper.....
End of Rant. Lol.
Is the selling aspect of ebay bothering anyone else? Or am I just having a bad day? Lol.
agree with you 100% but what annoys me even more is idiots like these three that i have sent 3 invoices to and not heard back from any of them. 8 days so far if they havent payed within 10 ill do some second chance offers/
Sometimes as a buyer it's hard to know what to do as far as making contact goes.
There was a Black Hornby LL on offer with a starting bid of $550 - it didn't get any bids. Then it was re-listed with a BIN of $550. It stayed for a few days and now the listing has ended, assume it has been sold for less than $550 but can't be sure.

A few months back I listed a framed
Jersey for $500 delivered. And got a message from a buyer who said " I really want this jersey but don't want to pay anywhere near what you want.. Would you consider selling it to me for $250?".. The frame itself cost me $300 was my reply......
I have no problem with the pay less idea... Which is the exact reason I put what I want as a BIN and a submit offer.... With an automatic decline on less than I am willing to accept.. I thought this would filter out those annoying emails.... Alas.... It has not.. Lol...
Yep - I would be happy to do an off eBay deal with a member of this site but not with someone who I've had no prior dealings with (regardless of their eBay feedback).
where any of the guys i bagged out in this thread over ebay issues , OCT members? no joke 9 days no response, post in this thread and 2/3 have paid in the last couple hours ahahah
As i seller i get theses things listed above all the time if someone fails to pay as you say after 8 days ban them but also ring ebay if you go throught the complait thing its gets no where over the years of selling on ebay the more you sell the more they listen because the seller is where the money come from.
If you smell a rat ring ebay and let them know this has happened before, because what i ended up finding out is one of the people that used to do that to me would just open another account.
Even better when you get an address for the buyer when you do a invoice get onto google maps and see if the place does exist i had one where it was a park in Alice Springs and someone i deal with in alice springs checked out the address for me and i was straight onto ebay about it.
Remember if you do,do a second chance offer and you get your commission back from the non-payer you still pay your listing fees even if you have to re-list it thats not refunded if the person who you offer the second chance offer to does not accept it.
ebay should introduce that buyers have 48 hours to pay by paypal,if you dont or pay by other means, sellers are allowed to leave negative feedback. this will stop the time wasters.

I agree with 2 & 3 but not 1. If you list something as an auction and someone has bid on it then you should have some integrity and let it finish regardless if you have had a better offer somewhere else. Don't list something if you are not going to see the auction through. I had a seller retract my bids within the last minute of auction only to later say he had sold it elsewhere. I called BS it was just that I was only bidder and the the price wasn't what the seller wanted.
Ending a listing has nothing to do with integrity. Bottom line is the item is still mine until the auction ends. I have had a few instances where I ended items because I decided to keep it or to sell locally just because it's easier than eBay.. And it's still legally mine....
Sellers shouldn't be allowed to end auctions in the last 24 hours..... If buyers are not allowed to retract bids in the last 24 hours then sellers should be held to the same......

Agree to disagree
I think if something is listed then have to see it through to the end, same with someone who bids they should see it though to the end regardless if they have changed there minds. It's still there money after all but they should stick by there bids unless its a mutual agreement to remove bid or same with removing the listing if its a mutual agreement then no prob.
But I also see your point of view too
