ebay sellers changing postage charges?

won a $7 auction, postage was $18.60, then next day he emails saying hes adjusted postage to $41. I politely reply that im not prepared to pay $41 for a $7 auction.

He says ill be reported as a non payer. Gotta love some people

well i thought you were going to say he was going to charge you $41 global express.

Some eBay sellers will only send via this method now as too many Aussie and other have ripped them of saying cards have not arrived. The seller is only trying to protect himself.

What how many item are there and how heavy are they? They must have got the wrong price?

as far as I know a single card or more in a small padded envelope and postage cost in regular post around Australia. Standard postage is $6.95 and the smallest padded envelope I believed is $1.10.
