EBay Seller of the Month

Yeah cropping corners and calling that condition excellent hmmmm. I would call that fair-good.
$475-$500 would be my guess. Its a cracker so i wouldnt be suprised if it went for more but i dont really think in that condition it is worth it.

Unfortunatley it is one of many overpriced St George cards I doubt I will ever own....

Yeah i know the seller Tony Bancroft. He is a pretty straight shooter in my experience.

He should have probably said in excellent condition for a scanlen's card 50 years old. I would not be shocked if he pulled $700 - you saints fans are a nutty bunch.

Yeah excellent for its age agreed, but those photos reek of deception in my eyes, its not hard to take a full card shot and as you say Dragons collectors are nuts and would still pay top dollar anyway.

he has a few cards from that era, whats your opinion on getting them signed, does it devalue them or not, i personally don't like it, but i can see if the player is dead that people may pay over the top for it...

If I have the opportunity to get a card signed, then I usually get it signed. You can get another unsigned card down the track but possibly not a signed one. However with the older cards 1970 and before that makes it harder to make a decision.
I stewed upon getting a NM 1975 Langlands signed at an APCS fair knowing that my name had to be on it. It was an especially hard decision as with a name like mine it was good for no-one else. I got it done, giving the card to him last after he had a chance of writing my name a couple times on other cards. The senile bugger then spelt my name wrong!!! But I guess that's the gamble you take

Personally i think it takes away from the cards and I would not buy it.

Its all well and good to have a modern card signed by a player but we are talking about cards that are worth hundreds and hundreds of dollars. It would be like taking a high end signature card and defacing it.

How did he spell your name Mischa???

Yeah all those signed ones came from Kosta. The amount of old blokes that go into that shop with no idea amazes me.
Unless the 1963s or 1964s were in horrible shape, there is no way in hell would i let a pen anywhere near it.
Those ones do look like they were signed in that era though.

I think he signed it Mishca or something. it was in the scanlens logo which does make it a little less obvious

That is a crazy one.

I found these signed shorts today. signatures look ok but it seems so odd to me that the signatures are so tiny

I guess it also depends on what size the shorts are as well
