Mark, on 1 side you may have a rugby league player and on the other side you may have a boxer/golf player/ rifleman/greyhound/vfl player etc. What do you mean by faced the same direction?
Yes mate they do have another picturedo they have a different picture on the back, and are they faced the same direction.
These are the pics of the front of the cards.Does anyone have any experience with 1933 BDV cigarette cards. I bought 3 from EBay a couple of weeks ago and they don't have that old feel or look about them.
Just thought I would bring it up while everyone was talking about fakes.
I could be wrong but they look reproduced. Looks like someone cut them with scissors
Mark, I have about 300 hundred of these cards, not 1 of them are cut like those, as previously said, look like they have been cut and the borders are too big, my opinion and strongly said, they are reproduced ones. These are the pics of the front of the cards.
I asked Mum and Dad about them ( they aren't as old as the cards, so they tell me, but they remember the cigarette cards) and they seem to think they are real.
There are pics on the back but still not convinced.
Numbers look straighter and in line that its a real one. Spaced better on that card
AS PROMISED 013 TOOVEY you be the judge..

I still can't see anything wrong with the embossed numbering, it is identical. I overlaid the images of the two cards, mucking around with the opacity and the gold embossed numbering lines up perfectly it is to close to call different. You can see double outlines of the emblems but the numbering merges into one. Hard to see but here's an image.
What you do notice is the alleged fake is stamped a little higher on the card than the card being put forward as real. The numbering just above the Select Australia trade mark print is what mine look like.
Cheers
Ross
That does not seem right to me I think this seller has lost some credibility profiteering on these, well with me at least.

totally agree with everything you said Rob, some people out there do not really look at who is who, we all make typos typos typos every now and thennnn.Seller in a thorough gentleman of the Card Collecting game...
A wealth of knowledge, And has done more for us than most here combined.
(Although you probably don't bother to realise)
He's not dressing mutton up as lamb, The listing is quite clear....
He's selling something that he owns (Nothing illegal there?) - How do you know he makes a profit?
He may have made a typo, It's common knowledge the cards are manufactured at the same place as the
2003 RL Cardz. I'd suggest this small confusion does not lessen his credibility an iota...
