I have never seen the Ellis got under $25. I think their was an error with thus card in the production run and a lot less than the others in the set were released
Some quick math suggests that there will be approx 350 of each gold parallel. That's less than the master and apprentice inserts (/400) and WELL less than the Pride and Passion inserts (/525). I'm not suggesting they will sell for more, in fact I'm sure they wont as people view parallels differently....but if you are looking for value by production over cost, the Golds could be the way to go.
I saw this auction as well and if it wasn't allstar_signatures who I believe to be legit you would have to question authenticity as it looks very different from his standard even with a few bevvies in him.

Badgering them constantly with a billion cards is half the problem. Add to this that his cheapest signature card is listed at $25 and he really is stuffing it for the rest of us IP collectors. If I remember correctly this is one of Mick Ennis' accounts. Apologies if I'm wrong
Imagine a player being mobbed by a rude man, him handing over 20 cards, then you seeing them on sale for <$25ea. He has just tried to make $4-500 off you, no wonder players are reluctant...

I think a lot of them are fed up with him. Players know what he does and obviously Johnny has just said screw it I couldn't be bothered and scribbled on the card.
i missed the eels 2009 ones as i was too busy with watching matt's box break of 2014 elite. But i got the 2003 hindmarsh but missed bidding on Cayless. Alot of the 2003 cards went around the $100 price except for a couple (example: Brad fittler error and Lockyer)
