So last week bought about $300 worth of NON-SPORT cards, from the one seller, confirmed before with them that they combine postage, after i finished bidding on the cards i required sent them a message to tally it all up with combined postage, aslo asked them to properly pack the cards etc, so i get the checkout the items are divided into 2 different invoices, now some of the item i purchased besides the cards were a Sell sheet, a postcard size card, so i assumed seller was sending the items seperatly which was fine with me, 1 package was $12 the other $6, so i received the 1 Padded envelope size 5, with everything in it, the cards in the 9 Sleeve Ultra Pro x 4, postcard, sell sheet etc all in there no protection for them, so i take them out, 1 damaged sell sheet, 1 damaged postcard, 1 damaged card, postage cost $5.80 plus envelope, so i have sent them a message asking for $11 back plus the cost of the items that are damaged, if i get no response I WILL NEG THEM.. Am i fair in asking back for the postage cost and cost of the damaged item's... end of rant, im off to bed...

Fair for sure.

I just recieved a heap of cards in 9 page sleeves half of them were out of the sleeves when they arrived including a 1/1 a 1/2 and a exquisite patch.Thank god they were alright I paid heaps for postage on that lot to.

Your well intitled to go nuts mate.

I find it funny how people somehow think that items they chuck in the post are just going to be magically ok without even a half assed attempt to protect them...

Hi

I am happy to hear that you managed to get some of your money back. However, on the flip side, I do get many buyers wanting to get their purchased items sent to them as cheaply as possible (it's just human nature), and started recommending satchel bags and padded envelopes as it is much cheaper that way. These methods are good if you are buying only a couple of small items like cards in top loaders. If the quantity starts to get larger or if the item is bulky, I always recommend that it gets delivered in a sturdy box. I know it is more expensive but at least it provides adequate protection. It might be good to insist on a box in the future if you know you are ordering many items. That way both seller and buyer would be happy. Cheer Alex

And so you should complain we pay the correct money so why should we not receive the proper card free from damage what would happen if you only sent them 86% of the money im sure you would here back from them. WD on the refund m8.

Just on this i asked the seller to make sure that item were packed correctly in a box, as i won about 20 odd cards and some other item's i assumed as well that seller would send in a box, when the seller sent me 2 invoices again the assumption was that they were sending 2 packages, all i then get is a padded envelope with a postage cost of $5.80, and was charged $18, then the seller has the audacity to tell me that they doubt that any items would have got damaged as the packaging they choose has sturdy backing WTF... Now i have no problem paying extra for postage to make sure the item arrives safely, i have no problem if postage & packing cost $8 and get charged $10, but when you overcharge by close to 200% then thats just ridiculous any way, This is the reply i got from the seller..

"Hi, I will refund you the money for the items if you return them. I doubt that they have become damaged, I chose the envelope due to its sturdy and strong backing and protective bubble wrap internally. also, i purchased card sleeves to send all the individual cards to you safely. If I had not of done this the cards would most likely have become damaged. If you return the items you are unhappy with I will refund you."

and this is my reply back

Hi, you doubt, do you think i just decided to make this up, as i have nothing better to do, you packed the items in an bubble wrap envelope, what strong backing does this envelope have?, you packed the Chumpa Chomps with the cards and sell sheet, do you not think that when the package gets tossed around by Australia Post or other box's packages are put on top of it, do you not think that the weight will maybe push the Chumpa Chops onto the other items??, You will need to pay for the postage back as well, failure on your behalf to refund the overcharge of postage cost, the refund of the damaged items and refund of the postage back to you, will ensure that i raise a dispute with EBay and PayPal, now you may think I’m been unreasonable BUT i asked you before hand to make sure items are well pack and when you charged me $18 the assumption is that you have done which you have not..

Now that you have mentioned that, I think you have every right to get a refund back on your damaged items and postage. Sounds like the seller is trying to short change you or simply lack of common sense. It is a good thing that Ebay allows a dispute resoluton and has ruled in favour of you. Hopefully, the seller has learned something in this whole saga. Cheers Alex

I purchased a poster off one seller and paid $10 postage (cost of Cylinder and postage) it arrived in two cardboard gladwrap rolls sticky taped together, result one poster nearly folded in half. I was'nt so patient just neg'd them immediately. people like that deserve what they get
