Got an ebay question for you experts :)

If someone has set a snipe on one of your auctions, does that show up as someone "watching" it?

Just noticed quite a few of the auctions i put up today have people watching so was just curious if thats what it might have been

Snipes have nothing to do with eBay. So if they set the snipe and don't have it on their watch list then no it doesnt show up.

Yeh but the snipe program tells you when the price of the auction goes passed your high snipe, so wouldnt that have to be watching the auction to know what the price is doing?

Hi Matty,

For you to be able to set a snipe on an item, you first have to have the item in your ebay watch list. The reason for this is to be able to import the item into your sniper watch list.

When you have the item in your sniper watch list then you can basically delete the item in your ebay watch list without affecting you sniper watch list.... Hope tis helps :-)

Anyone had much experience with the snipe programs that are around??

I have been using www.vrane.com since someone here (think it was MavsMan) put me onto it. Lost an auction today on a card that I really wanted but I think that was because I had it set to bid 5 seconds before the auction ended, and somebody else sniped it at around 2 seconds.

With vrane.com, you can only have one auction set to snipe at a time, and I'm not keen to pay for any of the others without some decent info.

Cheers

Alfredo, like Chad said, you don't necessarily need to be watching the item. The Auction Sniper stores your details, and it can be seen in the Sniper site.
