Can't beleive this shit! :smt093 Mo'fo's at eBay ended 5 of my 70-odd card auctions for this:
We appreciate that you chose eBay to list the following listing(s):

8830695311 - Baron Davis 04-05 Ultimate Buy-Back Auto 17/19
8830692878 - Julius Erving/Magic Johnson 03-04 SPx "Winning Combos"
8830669135 - Jason Kidd UD Championship Drive Signs Of Success Auto
8830691608 - Carmelo/Yao/Brand/B Davis Box1 Quad Jersey
8830696997 - LeBron James 04-05 SP Game Used Season In Review /999

However, your listing was in violation of eBay's Safe Payments Policy policy and
has been removed from eBay. We have credited all associated fees to your
account and notified eBay users associated with the transaction that it has been
cancelled.

We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what part of your
listing is not permitted.

Your listing(s) contains the following information:

Money Order or Cash (AT BUYERS OWN RISK!)

Money Order or Cash (AT BUYERS OWN RISK!)

Money Order or Cash (AT BUYERS OWN RISK!)

Money Order or Cash (AT BUYERS OWN RISK!)

Money Order or Cash (AT BUYERS OWN RISK!)

Talk about inconsistency! Every single one of my auctions up there has exactly the same words in the listing! Why the hell did they end only my 5 most expensive/sought after cards I had up? Now everyones going to think I'm the prick for taking down the decent stuff and my cards will sell for less. They just jeopardised all my auctions!
What's that about eBay!!!!! I violated your listing policy, but you're still happy to take my fees. Enough said. I'm holding back so many choice words. I think everyone needs to hear about this, with all the shillers and rip-offs getting around still selling, they choose to end my auctions. This is BS!

Man I have had that done to me so many times! I never knew what mine were for at the time and I listed them the same and nothing happened? Very inconsistent ebay!

yeah man, i feel ya. had it happen a few times to me, for a similarly retarded reason. and they dont even tell you the reason they took the listing down, i had to email them back and ask why

then they tell me cos i had in the auction title "blah blah blah PATCH #/25" it was misleading cos ppl might think it is an actual patch, and not a card with a bit of patch in it  :smt017

this is despite the fact that every other auction has the word patch in it, and also my auction happened to be in the freaking sports cards section, not to mention the actual picture of the card!!!

so how could there possibly be any confusion? ebay is a monopoly, a corrupt, money hungry, unethical, completely retarded monopoly. i mean, does that make any sense at all, what i wrote above???

Ebay's policy for Safe Payment is below -
technically you cannot suggest that cash should be mailed (which I beleive is illegal anyway). The link below is to Ebays Help page on Paying Confidently. It says in short (for those that can't be bothered clicking on it) that cash, while not recommended, is an accepted form of payment.
So I think it comes back to the mailing of cash "at buyers own risk".
My listings all say CASH (AT OWN RISK)....but I've never had a listing pulled. Could it mean that a potential buyer has complained??

Policy

Permitted on eBay.com.au: Sellers may offer to accept PayPal, credit cards including Mastercard/Visa /Amex/Discover, debit cards, bank payments as well as bank-to-bank transfers. Sellers may accept COD (cash on delivery) or cash for in person transactions. Sellers may offer to accept personal cheques, money orders, bank cheques and other negotiable instruments.

Not permitted on eBay.com.au: Sellers may not solicit buyers to mail cash. Sellers may not ask buyers to send cash through instant cash transfer services (non-bank, point-to-point cash transfers) such as Western Union or Moneygram. Finally, sellers may not request payment through online payment methods which fail to comply with the safe payments criteria, above.

Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions including:

Listing cancellation
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Limits on account privileges
Loss of PowerSeller status
Account suspension

Sucks man! But the bidders should get a message to say that the listing had a violation in it. So they will know that you didnt pull it. Try relisting them.....

That's my point All-star, thanks for the clarification info too, they are so inconsistent. Why even have a policy if they pick out stuff willy-nilly to enforce. They let rip-offs operate as we've all seen on the Current Affairs shows, and they pick 5 out of 70 identical listings to cancel because of a minor violation that just about everyone has in their own listings! If they were serious about that shit there wouldn't be many listings on ebay right now. It's so frustrating sometimes.
I'm seriously considering just ending the listings now and re-doing the whole thing. What waste of 3 hours
