Hi everyone I recently sold to the US for the first time last month on ebay. I was a bit weary to start with but thought I would share the cards with anyone who wanted them. BIG MISTAKE.
I sent a full set of non sport cards (150) plus 33 insert cards and put them in a 200ct plastic box. There was some more space in the box so I chucked in about 10 extra inserts as some of us would have done as a good will gesture.
Now I get a message saying there were 21 common cards missing and 2 inserts were damaged. Could I send the missing cards or refund for them.
I said I would send the cards that were missing. He was happy with that and asked for some compensation as well. I held off sending for a couple of days now he has opened a case against me for the missing cards.

Is there anything I can do. Is there anyway I can win this.
Should I tell them to send the cards back for a Full Refund
Any Help would be great.

Thanks Matty

This is virtually identical to my debacle mate have a look at my eBay/Paypal thread I'll bump,it in a minute.

You can refund an agreed amount and it will be done with.

Or

With my case, I knew I had packed everything and wasn't going to budge on giving a partial refund for "missing" so I chose an option in the PayPal case to have them send back all for full refund.

They sent back stuff (registered of course so there was my signature for a package) which turned out to be all base cards. I.e. they kept everything AND got a full refund once they had proof I received "my items" back.

After a long battle and the financial ombudsman intervening, I got my money back. But it was just a shut me up as the scammer buyer got to keep the $$ too.
