looks like there has been other technical issues with the site over past week or so
tried a few fixes but still the pages dont load completely, just looks like a basic text version of the site
meh, give it a day or 2, hope it fixes itself, makes it near impossible to bid or search for things since it so slow

You haven't blown your download limit and been shaped onto dial up speeds have you?
That sounds like the page is trying to load and failing. I occasionally get that problem but a refresh will fix it.
Try deleting all cookies etc ... Try a free program called Ccleaner.

If problem persists try another browser ie: if you are using IE try Firefox or Chrome or Opera or something else see if it does the same.

Have you tried pinging the isp?
Just wondering how many steps it goes through and where the problem is occurring.
Sometimes websites will change a host which can cause an issue for some people in certain areas.
Does this only happen on the Aus ebay or the US ebay as well?
