the story is... i bought a melo exquisite base jersey parallel on US ebay on the 05/02 and paid for it within minutes of it finishing!! the postage cost was$10 for global priority:shock: but i really needed the card so i bought it anyway!!
over 3 and a bit weeks later (after i emailed him like a week and a half ago) i finally hear from him and he says and i quote -
"Evan-
I am very sorry about the delay. The card was sent registered mail yesterday 2/27. I do not go to the post office often since I can ship most items on a website. The post office has had lines of over two hours waiting in order to send confirmed items. I got fed up and waited yesterday because it has been so long.
Thank you for your patience,
Dan"
then i ask for a possible partial or complete refund since it has taken so long, and he says "but it cost me over $10 to ship it"
i dont want to start a dispute through ebay etc, but do you think if i leave say 'neutral' feedback, (when i do finally receive it).... would that be warranted??
What did it say in their listing about when they post items out, and when you need to pay by? (usually 7 days to pay, 24-48 hours to post, USUALLY).
They sound remorseful, but to hold something for 21 days before posting it, is pathetic....... they make it sound like they waited 2 hours on one day, and didnt come back for weeks....
that is the link to the auction scotty, but to answer all of your questions:
- paid via paypal
- he memtioned a delay in delivery way back in August last year (it was a best offer listing and has probably been listed for a long time) so basically, no mention of a possible delay
- his ebay name is 'lakertoughguy' with over 2000+ positive feedback at 98.1% positive!!
I was hoping for the sellers sake that he lived somewhere cold and that he'd been snowed in or something....but seeing he's in sunny LA, he's got no excuse and deserves what's coming.
Still if you eventually get the card a neutral with full explanation is probably all that is warranted.
