Earthquake in the Shaky Isles.....

Got woken by the big quake at 4.30 this morning. Went into full 'Holy ****' mode! We're about 300 km from the centre - hope any Canterbury members here are ok.

I heard the news report this morning about the quake and wondered if the KG cards were alright.......oh and you and your family as well Al!

The news report on TV said that there had been a huge quake in NZ, and it was estimated that there was $30 worth of damage.

Seriously though - looks like millions of dollars worth of damage and at least 2 serious injuries.

Yeah crazy news huh! Very lucky there werent deaths and only a few injuries! NZ earthquake and Northen/Central Victoria flooding...what have we done wrong!!

Pretty grim viewing on the news.

One kid sleeping on the 2nd floor of a brick house was thrown out of his house onto the pile of bricks that used to be his wall!! Some amazing escapes - CHCH is now due gale force winds and 120mm of rain tomorrow - poor buggers.
