One thing you can do; its not much, but its something, is to check where the seller lives, and then check were the zero feedback bidding lives; usually the sellers are smart enough to make more than 1 user name but not to change the states or even the town they live in.
Im always wary bidding against someone who has 0 feedback and only bids in 1 dollar increases; thats pretty dodgy in my eyes
Similar story here, I started getting notices of "Where is my item, I will report you to Ebay" when I hadn't sold anything, because my account I registered in 2000 and didn't use it myself until recently, it's like a 5-6 yr window, and turns out it only stopped cos I started using it again.
If it's emails you're receiving about missing items from eBay, it's just Spam. However, if it's a message on your eBay account, then it's more serious.
