E-bay - So many highest bidders with ZERO feedback

i only find it strange if they are bidding on huge $$$$ cards.

i won a lebron exquisite auto patch a few days ago (by 3 cents) and the next highest bidder was a zero feedback bidder.

how do you start out on ebay bidding on a $500 card???

somebody has to push up the price for sellers.i know a few sellers who have different account on different computers to help push up the price
tony :D

That's happened to me too, and as mentioned on another thread, I was highest bidder on a Sene card. Then, 2 people, BOTH with Zero feedback pushed the price up, and up and up on me.

The other week, I lost out on a Sene to someone with ZERO feedback. Then, I get a 2nd chance offer.

I'm not saying every item is shilled, far from it.

I was just curious as to whether others have the same thing happen to them? As before, I just thought "heck if you want it, out bid them". But i am starting to think I am being taken on a ride on cards.

yep, i kw what you mean.

i generally leave all my bidding till the last 10 seconds, but if i know i won't be at a computer when the auction finishes, i will bid a few hours before hand...................which generally ends in an inflated price(or a bunch of bids by an ebayer with low feedback, $1 at a time:lol:)

What I find annoying is that a few 0 feedback bidders have been bumping up the price high, going over my snipe I have set, and then retracting their bids which means my snipe is inactive and the card most times has sold for less than what my snipe was set at.

Very annoying!!

Cheers
Matt

i logged on once and had a bunch of alerts and everything i was selling and buying got wiped/cancelled, someone had sold a car on my account, and they just keep saying they can't let me do anything because they beleive a third party has access to my account, even though i have changed my password, so i just made a new one

My mum's ebay account was hacked recently. Someone apparently tried to sell several notebook computers on her account. Fortunately this time ebay realised it was a problem and canned the auctions and suspended her account, so thankfully her's is ok.

Similar story here, I started getting notices of "Where is my item, I will report you to Ebay" when I hadn't sold anything, because my account I registered in 2000 and didn't use it myself until recently, it's like a 5-6 yr window, and turns out it only stopped cos I started using it again.

But Ebay, they only care about gettin their fees. I doubt they'd do anything, we've changed ISP's beefed up security on the home LAN etc, and just yer, start over.
