he only made 54% though.
can you imagine if howard could shot 70 or 75%
he'd put up 30 every night, without fail.
i cant understand how he cant get better at FT.
surely if he shot 100 every day for a while he'd be better?

this i something i dont understand either! how are some players so bad at it... its surely the easiest part of basketball, an open uncontested on balance shot from dead in front

Some people can't be perfect at EVERYTHING ... Yes their larger than life guys, but their still human. Yes It's only a free throw, but when 18 thousand people are yelling at you to miss ... and you know you're not that great at free throws to begin with ... I'm sure they get nervous, don't focus on just shooting the ball and they miss. And their huge ! It's not M.V.Steve knocking them down with ease. It's these HUGE guys with HUGE hands trying to be real gentle with the ball ... It's like us shooting a ping pong ball Into a basket. But then other guys like Yao Ming, were pretty good. Just shows that their human and not completely perfect.
I watched the game last night ... Howard was awesome against all those little guys ... does the same moves every single time ... get down low and dunk It ... or running from the left of the basket to the right side, bam bam hook shot ... every single time ... but hey It goes In ... He had great stats ... And I really think he could do this MUCH MUCH more often ... he's just gotta stop gigglin and tellin people his favorite movie is Finding Nemo ... get a KG mentality and be a bad man. ... Great game though.

Agreed and i wasnt being overly critical as nothings ever as easy as it looks in sport under pressure. Just imagine his stats if he was a little better
The unfortunate things is he will never be THE player on a genuine title winning team as when games tight the opposition can foul him all day long. If he went to chicago
then rose is the go to man and dwight can focus on dominating defensively and taking the opportunities created on offense when rose drags defense away. Only my two cents worth tho.

Wow... great record.... not. Maybe if he was a half-decent FT shooter it would mean something, but why should you get credit for being so bad at shooting that the opposition want to hack you instead of letting you shoot?
