Dumbest Lyric Ever!!

They had 'Rage' on at work the other morning and it was quiet in the Lab so i was in the smoko room, and the song "I wish i was a punk rocker" by Sandy Thom came on, first time i had heard it, and yeh i know im probably behind the times but the line

"I wish i was a punk rocker, with flowers in my hair"

Stupidest Line Ever!! Im a bit of a punk myself and i have never met a punk who wears flowers in their hair, thats hippies not punks!!!

Any other lines u can think of to top that one?

For ages, I thought she was saying "I wish I was a prawn cracker.." Weird.

I thought it was "punk rock girl" which actually would make more sense to me

I checked it on one of the lyrics sites, they are saying 'punk rocker'

on a side note, "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead Milkmen, awesome song, download it if you havent heard it

i think you missed the point matty, she goes on to say "in 77 and 69, revolution was in the air". 77 (the birth of punk) and 69 (the era of hippies), which correlates with the opening line. she wishes she was around during these times of great social upheaval, rather than today. thats why she says "i wish i was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair".

bad lyrics that stood out for me are the lyrics from Weezer's latest album. really bad and amateurish, like the kind of lyrics that take 5 minutes to write. The emotions behind them might be heartfelt and real, but still they are like a teenager wrote them...Exhibit A, a song called 'My Best Friend':

yeah jza's got the idea but i don't mind that song anyway theres a song on a single think it's lump called twig in the wind by the presidents of the usa, now i know they always have stupid lyrics but this song takes the cake

yeah i LOVE the blue album, still rocks hard, and they had songs about going surfing and stuff...now River's lyrics have gone over the top emo.

well i love Eskimo Joe great Aussie band and i love the song "Sarah" but this gets me the opening verse.

"Sarah..... wont you tell me your name".....

Wat the? You already know there name lol
